SINISTER
MOUSTACHE formed in 1999 under their former name,
Gravy, with the premise that music should be
cohesively individualistic, devoid of repetition, and
ultimately entertaining.
Influenced by an enormous swathe of music, film, dreams,
and life, they set out to create a sound that was
drastically different from the surrounding tides of
musical homogeny.
Every note is analyzed, retooled, and sculpted into a part
of a soundscape that can be visualized by the listener.
Sinister Moustache plays the music they enjoy playing,
without the hang-ups of whether or not the song fits an
image.
Drawing upon influences as varied as Martin Denny,
Black Sabbath, Raymond Scott, Faith No More, Clutch,
Frank Zappa, Tex Avery, and countless others, The Stache's music
encompasses a wide range of sounds and techniques.
Listen to each song thoroughly. Every song is full of
twists and surprises, and the end is never like the
beginning. |
